Safety Audit
Issue 1: Toys
by the Paranoid Sisters

Most of us look at child proofing like we look at an IRS audit: we hope
we never have to go through it. If we do, we hope it only happens
once. Have you ever looked around your once child proofed house and
noticed the many hazards that have piled up like your laundry? As we do
a safety tune-up (yes, even the Paranoid Sisters need safety tune-ups)
we take you with us. This month we focus on toys.

Toys
It's time to dig into those toy boxes and see what illegal contraband
has been smuggled in. We find that Barbie shoes and small rubber balls
seem to magically make their way into our younger boys toy boxes. Are
smaller toys that are OK for your 5 or 6 year old stored up high
away from your 2 year old? Have you dumped out your little ones toy
boxes to see what lurks down at the bottom? A part of last weeks
dinner. A tippy cup that didn't get accounted for. A ring that your
older daughter got for her birthday. Take a look at the toys and make
sure that no parts have come loose or broken off. It never ceases to
amaze me what I find. Let us know what you find for future audits!
