We are the Paranoid Sisters, Lisa Carter and Lori Marques. We have six kids between us:
- Lisa has four kids: two girls (5 and 4 years) and twin boys (2 years). Yikes! It's pretty crazy around our house, that's why safety is a top priority.
- Lori has two kids (I'm a bit slower paced than my older sister): ages 6 and 1. Regardless of our slower pace, I still have safety in the forefront of my mind.
We are both California natives living in the San Francisco Bay Area. We each live
with our adoring husbands: Steve (Lisa) and Michael (Lori). On the
outside they try to go along with our safety concerns, but we know the
truth -- they think we're just paranoid.
In addition to our writing and speaking careers, we both work outside the home. That's why car safety is of utmost importance - hauling all these
little ones around requires a lot of car seats. Lisa is General Manager at a
diesel mechanic shop, and Lori publishes a monthly regional magazine.
In addition to being self-proclaimed safety freaks, Lisa is a sports
enthusiast, and Lori enjoys reading and writing.
